I'll see about adding some European countries to our giveaways. The problems are many, but perhaps we can find solutions for at least some of our contests.
The design of WoW is so well done that a diversity of players can find a part of the game that they enjoy. Well put Connie!
Harald, Good point about PvP not being 100% necessary. That said, if you want the really cool PvE toys (minerals, etc) you need to PvP into Low Sec space.
Part of EVE's charm is that they didn't need to build much in the way of environment. Space is a pretty empty place. That isn't the case with fantasy worlds. The environment is as much a draw as the gameplay (well, almost). The CCP team did a tremendous job taking time that would have been spent building artwork and worlds into building a skill system. It's a fantastic game. I'm confident that the design doesn't make for a great WoW-type game though.
