This quest is not easy for a low 30's lone warrior.
You can find the Bloodscalps just south os Nessngways Camp in STV, they range from 33 to 35, be very careful on PvP servers, also, the drop rate is terrible. I've killeb 30-40 and got 7 drops. Be sure to pick up the qeusts from Grom Goll and Booty Bay that involve killing Bloodscalps too.
The Exiles in Arathi are around lvl38, so unless you wait, you'll need help. Again, it's a contested area so keep you're eyes open. Also, you could buy the essences on the AH, but be prepared to part with a alot of cash on most servers.
As for the Liferoot, you can either farm it, buy it from the AH - agina, not cheap - or get it from a guildie.
You'll find Gann on the Southern Gold Road. He wanders a little but can usuallu be found at the T junction on the path just south of the Field of Giants.
The target MOBS can be found to the south east of Gann. Level's range from 21 for the prospecters to 22 for the foremen. Khazgrom is lvl 26. If he's actually in the quarry or in the castle on the hill I'm not sure, i haven't found him yet.
Other than taht, i'm soloing this easily with a lvl 23 warrior. There's some decen't mining opportunities in the quarry too, so make sure your mining skill is up to date before thie quest.
The smokey iron ingots can be found on the miners in the Stone Talon Mountain Zone in the far east of the crag. The powdered Azurite is dropped by Hillsbrad Miners in the Hillsbrad foothills in Kalimdor - remember to pick up the quest 'battle of Hillsbrad' while you're there, killing two birds with one stone - and the phlogiston is dropped by a named (the name eludes me at the moment) in Razorfen Kraul in the southern Barrens.
As for the iron bars, well you can smlet them yourself or buy them on the auction house.
Very quick easy quest. Just head due east from the giver to find the mobs. Keep an eye out for mining opportunities while you're waiting for spawns, too!

They go in the AH usuallu for around 1G, but if you buy the componants to make one they should only cost about 2S.
