VIDEO: Player Housing

Sony Online Entertainment and Sigil Games Online released new footage from Vanguard: Saga of Heroes that showcases player housing. The video, narrated by designer Kurt Wagner, takes viewers through the purchase of land and construction of a house on both Qalia and Kojan. Vanguard allows players to build houses big and small and provides very open floor plans, leaving the décor up to each individual player.

A press release issued this morningpoints us towards some new video from Vanguard!

Once players obtain their first flying mount around level 45, they are free to explore the skies, and gain a new perspective on the vast world of Telon. High Over the Sands of Qalia

SOE and Sigil today released a new video that takes you on a fly-over across the continent of Qalia. As loyal Vanguard followers know, Qalia has an Arabian Nights theme, with Middle Eastern style architecture, burning deserts, lush jungles, and more. Among the races of Qalia, you'll find the dark elves, gnomes, and the varathari barbarians. Qalia is also home to the cat race, the kurashasa. Check out the latest video goodness for a preview of what you'll discover in Qalia.

Four New Videos

The folks at Sony Online Entertainment (SOE) are beginning to rev their PR engines. They released several videos at the recent SOE/Sigil press event to promote Vanguard: Saga of Heroes and we've got them here for your viewing enjoyment. Unlike some game promos, these videos feature actual in-game footage. You'll see a fly-over of the continent of Thestra; various mounts; and a little something just to whet your appetite for the game.

Brad McQuaid, CEO of Sigil Games Online and Executive Producer of Vanguard: Saga of Heroes, released two more videos taken by Sigil programmer Jerrith. One shows some close range combat in a dungeon. The other, shot outdoors, takes a look at combat from zoomed-out third person perspective, allowing you to get a good look at the surroundings as well as spell effects. Like these videos? Four New Videos!

Brad McQuaid has handed out what could be the last of the Vanguard: Saga of Heroes videos we see before SOE begins revving its marketing engines and putting out slick new productions. If you want a quick honest peek at Vanguard in beta 3, these videos should do the trick. We've got vast numbers of them at Vanguard Ten Ton Hammer, and our own Phil "Ralphedelominius" Comeau stayed up into the wee hours of the morning uploading them.
