The unfortunate demise of 38 Studios resulted in the end of the very ambitious project known as Copernicus that had a lot of big names tied to it such as best-selling fantasy author R.A. Salvatore, Spawn creator Todd McFarlane and Ken Rolston of The Elder Scrolls fame. It's been a sad story of personal tragedy and loss for many involved. And while it’s unclear what will become of Copernicus if another studio picks up the title, Kotaku recently received a new video that offers a glimpse of what might have been if 38 Studios had not come to an unfortunate end.

According to Kotaku’s report, the video was sent by someone that felt the hard work of 38 Studios and Big Huge Games should be celebrated. Kotaku also notes that the video was intended to be used to reveal the project to the world. Head over and give it a look.

Update: Former 38 Studios Creative Director Steve Danuser recently posted a response about the leaked video to clarify that the content was a work in progress and explain a little more about what was presented.
