It's gritty, gory, and dark. It's beautiful and haunting. The Trail is everything you would want to give yourself a good rush before diving into the gameplay of The Witcher 3. I'm normally not an RPG without the MMO kind of gal, but even I'm pretty stoked for this. In fact, I've watched it four times through already, and not because I needed to. It's stunningly gorgeous, even through the bloody parts. I will leave a warning, though, that if gore isn't your thing, you might want to skip pressing play below. If you can take some CGI bloodshed, however, the opening cinematic for The Witcher 3 is well worth watching. Several times.

Foreshadowing the story of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, "The Trail" Opening Cinematic is an epic sneak peek into the adventure that awaits gamers in Wild Hunt. See witchers Geralt of Rivia and his mentor Vesemir pursue Geralt’s long lost love, the immensely powerful, raven-black-haired sorceress -- Yennefer of Vengerberg.

According to the YouTube comments, the opening trailer is completely wrong on all accounts because it's not...whatever people think it needs to be. I completely disagree that just because I personally might want to see something happen in a cinematic, and it turns out to not be that, that everything is wrong. I also don't think that CD Projekt RED needs to learn something from Eastern gaming companies in regards to combat, because there's plenty of that on the market already. It's their game and they should do what they want with it. People will either love it or hate it, but when you're making a game you personally love, there's nothing better.

The Witcher 3 will be available for next gen consoles and Windows systems starting February 24, 2015 and can be purchased directly from thewitcher.com. Tell us what you think about the opening cinematic in the comments, especially if you want to tell me how wrong and awful YouTube comments are!
