Ten Ton Hammer Video of the Day

Is it possible to be hit so hard that your scattered atoms create new life?

The revitalization of the Superman movie franchise with Man of Steel has already spawned the inevitable sequel. And much to the excitement of fans attending San Diego Comic-Con back in July, the announcement of the sequel revealed that it will be a Superman vs Batman themed movie with Henry Cavill reprising his role as Superman. Since the announcement, it's been confirmed that Ben Affleck will be donning the cowl as Batman. Maybe before the movie ends it will fall back into that World’s Finest moment from the comics, but the current speculation seems to indicate that the two heroes will be adversaries for at least part of the movie.

Batman has certainly had a much more financially successful run in movies, but when it comes to comics, Superman has bested the Dark Knight many more times. The two were more recently adversaries in the fighting game Injustice: Gods Among Us, which pit an evil alternate reality Superman against Batman.

All that aside, if the gloves came off, and superman didn’t hold back – who would win in a fight? Batman fans may be screaming the Dark Knight at the moment, but I urge you to watch today’s video before you make that declaration. The video, courtesy of Vsauce on YouTube, delves into a bit of actual real-world science to discover just how powerful an unrestrained punch from Superman could be.

So who is your hero – Superman or Batman? Tell us below.
