But there seems to be a little more intrigue surrounding Warhammer 40k: Dark Millennium Online. GamesIndustry.biz is reporting that anonymous sources have indicated that the game is currently being offered for sale to other companies. Whether those rumors turn out to be true or not time will tell. But for now, we recommend taking everything with a grain of salt despite THQ's less than stellar 2011 financial performance.

"Game industry veteran"? According to whom? He has a single credit in MobyGames, a mobile game back in 2009. Sheesh. Why is anyone listening to this person?
People should pay less attention to twitter and more attention to *when it happens*. If the game comes out in 2014, you know its out. If its not coming out, then its not out. Simple as that. Till 2014 comes, I wont listen to anyone that says its cancelled till then.
To be truly next-generation the game needs to support beatlts between more than 200 players at a time. Internet, server, and PC technology has progressed sufficiently now is the time for developers to break into new territory. Imagine a massive battle, with freeform shooting, unloading on the hundreds of players and NPCs charging below from your balcony on a superskyscraper.Or being in the midst of things and suddenly emerging from the thick of battle without realizing where it took you. The melee combat mechanics should be semi-freeform like the shooting to be a truly immersive and fast-paced experience. The best part will be jumping in and out of vehicles to get places and get through defenses by either brute force or speedily racing to their flank.Remember the game Infantry Online with over a hundred simultaneous players and dozens of vehicles everywhere?
