Let’s
talk trinkets. Trinkets are a special breed of armor that are privy to
two item slots on every character in World of Warcraft. However, with
all the fancy weapons and eye-catching armor out there this item slot
can easily be forgotten about and they often are. A
big mistake in WoW,
as trinkets and the stats they can provide to your character are just
as important as any other piece of gear you own.

This is especially true for
healers who have found their job difficulty exceptionally increased
with the introduction of Cataclysm. For healers every last bit of
intellect, any advantage they can garner can mean the difference
between the life and death of their raid. Despite the fact that
trinkets are probably some of the least talked about gear in the game
there are more than a few of them available for healers. This can lead
to confusion and overall frustration when trying to decipher the best
healing trinkets for you. Especially since the
“newest” trinkets out there aren't always the best.

To save you some of the
trouble and hopefully get your WoW trinket slots filled quickly and
efficiently, we here at Ten Ton Hammer have compiled 5 of the best
healing trinkets currently in game as of Patch 4.3. You may be
surprised as to what WoW trinkets you find on the list.

Top 5 WoW Healing Trinkets

Heart of  Unliving

With enough
Intellect to push
most healers over the required mana regen level needed for any
Cataclysm encounter, this trinket is a must have for all healers.
Taking the place of Darkmoon Card: Tsunami, the previous best in slot
healing trinket, this WoW trinket is sure to inspire envy in other
healers and boost your healing prowess to new levels. As if the huge
amount of Intellect wasne't enough, Blizzard has added an extra Spirit
buff bonus that can stack up to 10 times and lasts for 10 seconds. Not
thrilled about the Spirit buff on this beauty? Turn your frown upside
down when you consider that with this trinket in place you can now
Reforge Spirit on other gear for more useful stats. Not to mention that
Holy Paladins and Holy Priests get some extra bang for the buck out of
this amazing WoW trinket thanks to their various talents promoting
Spirit.

Want to add this trinket to
your item slot? You will need to venture deep into the Dragon Soul raid
where you will need to take on the Spine of Deathwing encounter. After
this encounter is over the Greater Cache of the Aspects will appear. If
you are lucky, this trinket will be inside.

Fall of Mortality
style="padding: 5px; float: right; width: 375px; text-align: center;"> href="http://www.tentonhammer.com/node/227647" target="_blank"> src="http://www.tentonhammer.com/image/view/227647/preview"
width="375">

The Fall of Mortality
is
another trinket packed with a ton of
Intellect and very much like the
the Heart of the Unliving above. While this may seem a bit boring it
should come as no surprise as Intellect is now the stat that most
healers covet the most in Cataclysm and healing trinkets reflect that
aptly. The difference between this WoW trinket and the Heart of the
Unlviing is that this trinket grants a large amount of Spirit for 15
seconds without the need to bother with a stacking buff. Able to proc
every 75 seconds, this trinket has some definite power behind it and
will make an excellent addition to any healer's trinket item slot.

Those looking for the Fall of
Mortality will need look no further than the Bastian of Twilight. Here
they will need to take on the mighty Cho'gall who has a chance to drop
this trinket upon his defeat.

Jaws of Defeat
style="padding: 5px; float: right; width: 400px; text-align: center;"> href="http://www.tentonhammer.com/node/227650" target="_blank"> src="http://www.tentonhammer.com/image/view/227650/preview"
width="400">

Don't let this WoW
trinket's
name fool you, it will not throw you intro the Jaws of Defeat. If
anything it will help deliver your raid from them. Packed full of
Intellect (surprise, surprise) the real head turner for this trinket is
the use. Every two minutes players will have the option to click on
this trinket and reduce the cost of their Holy and Nature spells.
Covering both Holy and Nature spells this trinket is useful for every
healer. Think it couldn't get any better? This buff stacks up to 10
times. With only a 2 minute cooldown on the use of this WoW trinket
healers everywhere will find that when used in a timely manner, they
will save a significant amount of mana giving them longevity that will
be beneficial on the longer fights found in Cataclysm.

Wish to make this trinket your
very own? This trinket is a random drop from Majordomo Staghelm found
inside Firelands. Available in both heroic and normal modes this
trinket is well worth going back into this raid instance to obtain.

Seal of the Seven Signs
style="padding: 5px; float: right; width: 390px; text-align: center;"> href="http://www.tentonhammer.com/node/227651" target="_blank"> src="http://www.tentonhammer.com/image/view/227651/preview"
width="390">

Have you ever wondered what
it
would be like to heal at the speed of light? Well
you may never get the
answer to that question, but this trinket can surely take you one giant
step closer. With this trinket healers
will find that every time they
heal they have a 15% chance to gain extra haste for 20 seconds. While
this buff, known as Velocity, does not stack the amount Haste the buff
provides more than makes up for this. With a short 2 minute internal
cooldown this trinket is able to proc multiple times on most boss
fights and will prove to be most useful. Oh, and of course this WoW
trinket is packed with enough Intellect to make your mana pool squeal
with delight, which any good Cataclysm healing trinket should be.

Dropping from Warlord Zon'ozz
inside Dragon Soul, players are able to obtain this WoW trinket in Raid
Finder as well as Normal and Heroic versions of this instace.

Windward Heart
style="padding: 5px; float: right; width: 400px; text-align: center;"> href="http://www.tentonhammer.com/node/227652" target="_blank"> src="http://www.tentonhammer.com/image/view/227652/preview"
width="400">

The Windward Heart trinket is
not significant because of the massive amount of mana it provides to
its user, although that is certainly something to be though about, but
its interesting proc ability. Basically a smart heal disguised in
trinket form, this proc
elevates this trinket easily to one of the best
currently in game. With an internat cooldown of 20 seconds healers are
reporting that this trinket can easily account for 5% of their healing,
a rather large number considering the healer does nothing extra except
equip the item. To make things even better because of its smart healing
abilities the proc will automatically target the most injured member of
your party and will heal them without any chance of overhealing
occurring. The only downfall of this trinket appears to be the fact
that you may only have one equppied at any time.

Need to get this trinket for
your very own? Look no further than Dragon Soul instance where this
trinket can drop from any of the Lesser Cache's of the Aspects.

WoW trinkets listed above? Do you use any of them on your personal
