Over
the course of the seven
years World of Warcraft has been in action Blizzard has collected a
massive following for the game. Like any game with loyal followers, WoW
fans love nothing more than to announce their fandom to the world.
Thanks to this need to express their nerdy side, a whole slew of
licensed WoW gear has popped up into being. Seven years is a long time
and Blizzard has spent most of it coming up with creative new
merchandise for you to spend your cold hard cash on.
However, Blizzard has not
created all of this epic WoW gear on its own. Oh no. Senseing the
potential fortune to be made (because let’s face it,
merchandise with the WoW tag on it may as well be encrusted in
diamonds), many other companies have come on board to produce licensed
WoW gear. As a result of this there is a TON of WoW gear out there if
you just take the time to seek it out.
Sorting through the piles and
piles of WoW gear out there can be a daunting task. So to get you
inspired to take on the challenge I’ve hand picked 5 of my

The most personal and well
loved icon of the World of Warcraft experience for any player is
typically their very own character. Of course taking your character out
of game seems nearly impossible. Or is it? One of Blizzard’s
partners, Figure Prints, has realized this need for players to have a
keepsake of their character outside of the gaming world and has created
something of a miracle.
With just a few clicks of the
mouse Figure Prints will allow you to create one of the most sought
after and personalized pieces of WoW gear out there; a personalized
replica of your in game character. Hand made and painted Figure Prints
can recreate your favorite WoW characters as a perfect 3D replica.
Using a snapshot taken from Blizzard’s Armory website, Finger
Prints then allows the buyer to outfit any gear your character is
currently in possession of after all the details are worked out Finger

If you thought Chris Metzan
walking out on stage sporting the mighty Doomhammer was one of the best
things you’ve seen all year, then you will be excited to find
out that you can recreate this moment by purchasing your very own copy
of this legendary weapon. Sure to be an excellent conversation piece,
take this piece of WoW gear out to social gatherings, the grocery
store, or wherever else you may go. When your not out and about with
this epic hammer it can also be an excellent addition to your home
décor, useable in any room in the house. Or if you must, you
could even use it for the LARPing
purposes it was created for.
Designed and brought to life by
a licensed partner of Blizzard, the Doomhammer is as close to real as
it gets. Made of polyurethane along with PVC pipe, the Doomhammer is
wrapped in real leather and weighs in at 3 pounds of pure awesome. The
only downfall of this piece of WoW gear is that realism comes at a
price and owning a Doomhammer of your very own will put a real dent in
your purse.

If you aren’t some
cyborg creation and are instead a part of the human race, it stands to
reason that eventually you will need to leave your computer and find
yourself something to drink. Why not make this menial task just a tad
bit more exciting by quenching your thirst with one of the pieces from

steins are sure to add some extra epicness to your drink.
Ranging from elaborate steins
to less glamorous (but still cool!) mugs there is the perfect drinking
apparatus for every WoW fan. My personal favorite is known as the
RAWFRLRLRLRRLGLRL!!! (seen in the picture to the right) and features
Azeroth’s favorite watery creature’ the murlocs.

If you are looking for a more
affordable way to express your love of the game, the way to go is World
of Warcraft themed clothing. Sure I could have picked a specific piece
of clothing for this list, but there are really to many awesome pieces
to choose from. Able to send any message you desire, from your loyalty
to the one faction or another, to favorite catch phrases such as
“MORE DOTS!”, there is a piece of clothing out
there that is sure to appeal to every type of WoW fan.

Who doesn’t love the
adorable Murlocs of Azeroth? I know I do. So it comes as no surprise
that there is a plethora of gear based on these crazy creatures. One of
my personal favorites is the Talking Murloc Plush Toy. Yes
that’s right, a Murloc Plush Toy. Just when you thought you
were told old for stuffed animals, Blizzard manages to go and prove us
all wrong by producing this must have piece of WoW gear.
Based one of the most hated
and
loved characters in the game the Talking Murloc Plush was created by
J!INX and comes packed appropriately in a cardboard wooden-crate.
Standing an impressive 8 inches tall, has semi-poseable limbs and is
just begging for a new home. The best part of this piece of WoW gear?
This Murloc plush can express itself with a simple press of its lip
through the well known “RwlRwlRwlRwl!” that
inspires terror in the hearts of many WoW characters venturing too
close to the coast line.
This concludes my list of top 5
pieces of favorite licensed WoW gear. Sure some may argue that the
items above are frivolous, nerdy, and perhaps downright childish, but
the people behind these comments have probably never felt the pure joy
that WoW can bring. So why not take a piece of that happiness out of
