10 is clear, Kel’Thuzad
and his minions are dead at your guild’s hands. Your entire
guild
has shiny purples to show for their efforts and all is right in the
world. Days and nights of farming, and reliving epic battles are at
hand. Or so you think.
you can even savor the victory a
new threat arises in the depths of Ulduar. A hero is needed to defeat
the evil that lies within. Invigorated by your success in Naxxramas
your guild bravely marches towards the portal that will eventually lead
them right into the maw of the beast.
all vehicle fight is the first to
test your skills in this new dungeon, but it too will fall before the
might of you and your guild. As the boss is about to die, and the
wonderful epics to be displayed across your screen, you realize in your
excitement to plunge into this new adventure you have forgotten to
check the loot tables, and have no idea if this boss will drop any
Hunter items or not.
an attempt to solve this problem, Mem
takes a look at Hunter useable loot in Ulduar.

excellent hunter trinket especially if you are lacking in
the hit area, or have been wanting to switch out another item with hit
on it. I wouldn’t suggest dropping all your DKP for it,
but definitely something you should eventually pick up.

counting hard mode, these bracers are the only shot you
will get at an improvement in Ulduar 10. If they are better than what
you are currently wearing, drop your DKP, suck up to your loot council,
or hope your dice are lucky to obtain these ASAP.

Agility, haste, attack power, and armor penetration on
this ring make this mmm mmm hunter good. Not to mention this is the
only ring drop suitable for a Hunter in 10 man Ulduar (not counting
Hard mode of course).
src="http://www.tentonhammer.com/image/view/71286">
you are a fan of dual wielding, this is the sword for you.
The best part about it is that this item is not currently unique, which
means you can have two of these bad boys.

Deconstructor

decent placeholder till you can pick up your T8, but
not something that you should be overly upset about if you are outbid
or out rolled.
style="font-weight: bold; text-decoration: underline;">
Ignis the Furnace Master

src="http://www.tentonhammer.com/image/view/71287">
worst (I hate saying worst, as this weapon is not
terrible, just not as good as the others) two hander in the instance.
This item is not worth making your guild take on Ignis for, as he has a
rather sorry loot table in general.
style="font-weight: bold; text-decoration: underline;">
Kologarn
border="1" cellpadding="2" cellspacing="2">
src="http://www.tentonhammer.com/image/view/71289">
pick up this cloak if you are in desperate need of the
hit, or if your guild cannot and will not be killing Hodir anytime in
the near future. The cloak Hodir drops is a far better choice.

you are a fan of two handers, the haste, armor
penetration, and rather large amount of attack power on this staff
should make you yell gimme, gimme, gimme! A definite pick up, not to
mention it looks kind of cool.
style="font-weight: bold; text-decoration: underline;">
Iron Council
border="1" cellpadding="2" cellspacing="2">
src="http://www.tentonhammer.com/image/view/71278">
has been said of items before this, this item should only
be picked up if you need the hit. Otherwise your best bet will be to
wait for your T8 headpiece.
src="http://www.tentonhammer.com/image/view/71288">
this item to the rogues, I would suggest picking up 2
of the Razorscale Talons instead. If in the future the Razorscale Talon
becomes Unique, then you may want to consider picking up this item for
dual wielding.
style="font-weight: bold; text-decoration: underline;">
Auriaya
border="1" cellpadding="2" cellspacing="2">
src="http://www.tentonhammer.com/image/view/71283">
‘meh’ piece. Good enough to pick up as a
placeholder, but not good enough to keep over T8 gloves.

red socket, decent socket bonus, and overall good stats
make these the gloves that will be ideal for you to pick up. Do not be
fooled by other glove drops that you may be tempted to put in their
place.

you don’t mind losing your set bonuses from your T7,
this would make a decent placeholder and upgrade until you come across
your T8 chest. Not a piece that you should be pressed to spend all your
DKP on.
style="font-weight: bold; text-decoration: underline;">
Hodir
border="1" cellpadding="2" cellspacing="2">
src="http://www.tentonhammer.com/image/view/71294">
Tier Legs! Pick these up, as they are the best you are
going to get in Normal 10 man Ulduar. With their two sockets they
easily shut any other legs out, not to mention they may allow you to
finally get the two or four set bonus.
src="http://www.tentonhammer.com/image/view/71297">
cloak is the best in Ulduar 10 not including hard mode.
Do not hesitate to pick this up when it drops.

bow is definitely comparable to the crossbow that will
later be dropping from Yogg-Saron. I would suggest picking this one up
to start with, to help move your raid along, and eventually picking up
the Yogg-Saron bow when it becomes available to you.
style="font-weight: bold; text-decoration: underline;">
Thorim
border="1" cellpadding="2" cellspacing="2">
src="http://www.tentonhammer.com/image/view/71273">
belt is available, making this a no brainer. Check your
belt, and if this is even remotely better, pick it up, as you have no
other real options in Ulduar till you attempt Hard mode or 25 man.

wins out again! Better than the shoulders from Auriaya,
these will be a great pick up and may also help you earn the nifty set
bonuses.

Mimiron

src="http://www.tentonhammer.com/image/view/71293">
you have enough hit from all your other items pick up this
piece. I would even go so far as to suggest you pick up this piece even
if you need to wait to put it on till you can get more hit with other
items, the set bonuses are worth it in my humble opinion.
style="font-weight: bold; text-decoration: underline;">
General Vezax
border="1" cellpadding="2" cellspacing="2">
src="http://www.tentonhammer.com/image/view/71277">
this neck is the only available neck in normal Ulduar,
it is only a slight upgrade for those who have obtained the neck from
the quest line involving the killing of Malygos for his heart. Pass and
wait till the price goes down if you have this neckpiece, if you
don’t, pick this item up.
src="http://www.tentonhammer.com/image/view/71282">
it’s socket and huge amount of agility, this item
will be an excellent upgrade for any hunter who was unable to obtain
the Spire of Withering dreams, or for those who are still not up to par
with their hit.

Yogg-Saron

legs may drop off a boss deep in the instance, but that
doesn’t make them better than your tier leggings. Unless you
really, really need the hit, or just have really terrible luck with
drops, pass on these.
src="http://www.tentonhammer.com/image/view/71279">
may take you a while to finally get this bow but if you
have waited all that time to upgrade it will be worth it. It is
debatably the best bow in the instance, although only a small upgrade
over Avalanche which drops off Hodir.
src="http://www.tentonhammer.com/image/view/71296">
is something exciting about seeing your tier gear drop,
and this is a piece you should really get excited about. Far superior
to any other chest piece available in Ulduar 10 man, don’t
hesitate to roll.
style="font-weight: bold; text-decoration: underline;">
Trash Loot

src="http://www.tentonhammer.com/image/view/71274">
excellent
pair of boots, and once again, your only chance
at improvement inside of Ulduar 10 sans Hard Mode loot. Make sure to
put these on your list of things to get as soon as they drop.

get DKP happy when this bow drops. While it looks
nice, and may be one of the first bows you see as it’s a
trash
drop, compared to the other bows available in the instance this bow is
simply not worth rolling on. If you get unlucky with other bow drops,
or no one else wants this item and you can pick it up cheap, do it,
otherwise I would pass.
style="font-weight: bold; text-decoration: underline;">
have tried to cover every piece that would useful for the Hunter class
out of Ulduar 10. I hope this will help you with your future gear
choices, and make that part of raiding a little less stressful.
