The above is likely the question many of you will be asking yourselves when you first load up the Burning Crusade and look at some of your equipment. I know I did. When the Burning Crusade is released (and possibly even before in a patch to the game) many of the old standard bonuses to gear will be gone.
The obvious ones that you will notice right away are +1% to crit and +1% to hit. Instead you will see cryptic looking numbers like +14 to critical strike and +22 to hit. There are even new ones like +20 to resilience. What is Resilience? Don’t worry all will be explained.
We're pleased to announce that our upcoming content patch, “Before the Storm,” is now available on the Public Test Realms. We've gone through our Hunter guide and updated it both for its content and its organization. It's now easier to browse through and find what you need to know and contains more new and fresh information then ever before!
"Hunters gain the ability to track their enemies starting at level two (with Track Beasts). Each type of enemy (beast, humanoid, undead, hidden, elementals, demons, giants, and dragons) can be tracked using a different ability. When an ability is active you will see any of those type of those creatures on the mini-map (both friend and foe). Track Hidden of course will only show nearby stealthed creatures and players and increase your stealth detection."
With the first expansion to the World of Warcraft due on shelves just after Christmas, we look at the expansion rate of WoW so far. Has it been worth the wait for what has changed? Does the pace of change not measure up to expectations?
The second of the questions above is a bit trickier, how has the community responded to this rate of change. It’s trickier because it depends who you talk to. If you ask a raider, they are probably fairly happy since they are still working their way through Ahn’Qiraj and Naxxramas. There are a few guilds that have defeated these raids, but they are few and far between. If you ask a PvP’er they may or may not be happy depending on which one you ask. If you ask an average player they are probably not very happy since most of the content added has been for the raiding and pvp crowd.
TenTonHammer's First Look at World PvP in the Burning Crusade
Everyone wants to know what is in store for them with the new world PvP system in the Burning Crusade. Will it make a difference? Will it be used? Is it fun? Read on to find out...
I think that these changes could make for some very interesting guild dynamics and / or mergers. With many worried about their place in a guild now that raids will only require 25 people, this may provide space in a guild for additional players. It will also help provide a place for PvP and Raiding in the same guild. I can imagine coordination either with another guild or another element of the same guild to go and capture a PvP element to help with a raid. The PvP’ers would have to capture the world PvP element in a specific zone at a specific time to coordinate with a guild raid going on to give that guild an edge in the raid. This could be critical for things such as first attempts or speed runs though a raid or instance.

TenTonHammer looks at early loot in The Burning Crusade
Interested in what kind of loot you can get in the first few days of the Burning Crusades release? Want to know where to find it? Check it all out here!
As mentioned in many places previously, the biggest change that you will see when going to BC loot is the insane stamina bonuses. I have seen a +60 stamina green item, and +40ish isn't that rare either! There are several items that you will be trading in very quickly from your tier 1 and 2 sets. There are even many blues from the old 5 man instances that could be replaced quickly with greens!
Our Rogue guide has gotten a massive update, both in its organization and its information. We've gone through and made sure our massive amount of information is easy accessible. Not only that, but we've overhauled our Rogue getting started guide with a ton of new information!
"So in summary, the Rogue class is your fast attacking high damage output class with very low-defense. Their damage isn't limited to mana, like a Mage, which is an obvious advantage. Simple "white damage" (normal attacks) from a Rogue can be deadly by itself!"
Scorekeeping has come a long way from the numerical high scores of arcade games in the past. This article takes a look at how players can prove that they are the best in today's MMORPGs, such as WoW.
“When I think of scoreboarding, my first thought is of arcade games--you know, those high scores at the end that allowed you to put in your initials so that everyone who came to play the game after you left could see just how great DJW or ADI was. Gaming has come a long way since those Pacman days in the local pool hall.”
