The skilled players at WoW - TenTonHammer wrote a guide for the beautifully scripted second boss encounter in the Ruins of Ahn'Qiraj (a World of Warcraft level 60 instance), the battle with General Rajaxx. The guide explains all the steps to defeating the General and his guards to progress to the inner areas of the ruins.
Being 8 big pulls means that this fight takes a while to complete. The first thing to know or plan for in this fight is to keep Lieutenant General Andorov and his guard alive. This is for two reasons:
1. They do a large amount of damage and help this fight progress at a faster speed
2. Andorov can sell some nice gear to you at the end of the fight.
3. Most important of all, as long as you have a reputation of friendly or higher with Cenarion Hold he will place an amazing buff on you. The buff heals you for 200 health every 3 seconds, increases your attack power by 10%, and lowers your casting time by 10%.

Jeff Kaplan, aka Tigole, is a lead designer in bringing the World of Warcraft to life, not only in its content, but making accessible to all the player fan bases… not an easy job by any means, one where you usually receive plenty of 1 thing, CRITICISM! Jeff is the stern and caring face to WOW, a poster on their forums, he tries to stay in touch with the gamers themselves, is the spokesman for Blizzard in newspapers, magazines and articles throughout the world.
A visit to the Ruins will no longer end in ruin...
The Ruins of Ahn'Qiraj are an incredibly fun, fast small group raid instance. It is very easy to complete the entire instance (once you understand the strategies) in an evening. Many of the bosses introduce very interesting fight mechanics and are in general a lot of fun, while not being overly difficult. In addition there is some very nice loot drops. These combine to make what is one of the most fun instances in the game, in my opinion. This is definitely an instance that you want to spend some time in, Blizzard got this one just right.
In this initial release of the guide we have the following sections live:
- Basic Information
- Reputation Item ad Quest Information Reference Sheets
- Boss 1 - Kurinnaxx
There is MUCH more to come over the next few weeks so check back often. By the end of May we will have a complete guide to all the Bosses and trash mobs.
Netcraft reports that Blizzard finally has an concrete solution planned in response to the game's intermittent authentication bottlenecks.
World of Warcraft says it is planning to upgrade its authentication servers to address performance problems that have plagued the popular online game in recent weeks. With more than 6 million subscribers, World of Warcraft has been struggling with login problems since the game's authentication system crashed on April 7.
MMORPGs increase productivity... yea, that's the ticket!
The Orange County Register reports that corporations are beginning to embrace virtual online gaming as a means of personal and team development. Okay, we all know that 9 out of 10 meetings are a waste of time; so why not gain a level or two while your at it?
In multi-player online games such as "World of Warcraft" by Blizzard Entertainment in Irvine, success can depend on strong leaders who communicate well and can coordinate a well-timed attack that uses the varied talents of their team, from dwarves and gnomes to night elves and humans.
Because many modern corporations depend on creating effective teams from geographically separate staff members, some companies study games to see how they accomplish that through a mix of Internet phone calls, instant messaging and personal communication skills.
Monthly subscription fees won't drain your wallet like green fees, yes. But if your boss calls for a heal, you better be johnny-on-the-spot.
Our new Tauren starting guide covers Mulgore, and that's no bull...
Next in our series of World of Warcraft beginner's guides, we look at Mulgore; a lush prairieland that the game's youngest Tauren call home. Included is background on the region, a walkthrough of the 25+ quests through level 10, a detailed map, and the massive amount of hints and tips you'd expect from a TenTonHammer guide! Here's a look:
A bit south of the cave you'll find the Bael'Dun dig site for "Dwarven Diggers" - gather the tools, but I'd recommend holding on to them rather than attempting to use the dwarves' forge to break the tools (the forge there will require you to fight nasties every few moments). Head directly east, and use the guerilla tactics you took advantage of at Winterhoof Well to venture into the Ravaged Caravan and examine a crate there. Make sure you clear the aggro, because you'll have to stay put for a good 45 seconds or so to advance the quest.
World of Warcraft's level 60 "Stratholme" instance was recently converted to a 5-person group instance from a 10-person raid. If you found that you could really use another five guildmates on your last Stratholme run, check out the newest guide from WoW - TenTonHammer:
Stratholme is a very difficult instance to 5 man, so one of the primary concerns with group composition for a 5 man run is level. At least 4 of the members should be level 60 and preferable the whole group should be level 60. If you must take a lower level player with you on a 5 man run casters are not a good choice as the higher level MOBs and bosses will have an increased chance to resist them. Lower level healers are an option if they stay back and know how to manage aggro. If they move forward or cast large heals they will pick up aggro fast and need to be saved.
As promised Monday, the "Coins, Bijous and Reputation" section of our Zul'Gurub guide has been updated to include complete information on the reputation loot found in WoW's high level "Zul'Gurub" instance.

Subscribers set to auto-renew on April 20th-21st weren't charged, according to Ignig.com and the Blizzard support forums, and subsequently couldn't log in to the game. With telephone lines clogged, those forums are starting to look like a PvP server. Except with more gankage. And no zone / level restrictions. Nevermind.
It seems the company’s billing system has gone on the blink, causing some accounts to be put in the inactive file since their credit cards can’t be charged. What’s worse, the customer service lines are so clogged, some players are saying, they can’t get through to solve the problem.
All of this is adding to the frustration of some players, who are now threatening to cancel their accounts. A post has appeared on WoW’s forums from company officials explaining the problem and how to fix it.
