What happens when you get so big that your servers become a muck of stinky mud where nobody has a good connection and it's a miserable mess? Well you open new servers and you say "Ok I'll let you move!". This is what Blizzard is doing.
Select Character Transfers to New Realm! - Eyonix on 1/26/06
We will be opening character transfers for the 8 realms listed below tomorrow, Thursday, January 26 at 3:00 AM. Characters on these realms will be able to transfer to a new PvP realm, Mug'thol. This round of transfers will be open Monday through Friday from 3:00 AM to 3:00 PM PST until Wednesday, February 1 at 3:00 PM PST. Please be aware that until the transfer window is closed, standard character creation will be unavailable for Mug'thol.
Character transfers are available Monday thru Friday from 3AM to 3PM.
Interesting to see Skullcrusher back on the list. Our guild of over one-hundred just moved from there. I wonder if this is going to help actually. The room left after the mass vacate just fills up faster than you can push sand into an ant hole. Are there any permanent solutions? Let me know!
We, like you, don't put much thought into the tasty delicacies our characters devour after a tough fight. Nevermind that (arguably) the best dish in World of Warcraft contains more than a snort o' "goblin rocket fuel." And no, Booty Bay revelers, we're not talking about the "volatile rum" they serve down there.
But for those of you that want an inside look at the horrors of the World of Warcraft "Cooking" profession, we offer a new guide that Upton Sinclair would be proud of.
If you can stomach it, check out our Cooking Guide. You've been warned!
(No mechanical war-chickens were harmed in the creation of this guide.)
Maybe you thought the "Cooking" and "Fishing" professions in World of Warcraft are gimp, too complex, too time-consuming, too boring, or too expensive to get into. Not so. At least, not anymore.
We have a couple secrets to share with you, secrets that will catapult your skills from 1 to 150 in both the Cooking and Fishing professions for a handful of silver, and in less time than it takes to watch another late-night "B" movie. It's not an exploit, it won't get you banned. It's just a taste of the old-school massively-multiplayer "grind smarter, not harder" approach.
Two hours, no gold, no auction house transactions, 300 skill points.
I had noticed that we didn't get any posts. This leads me to believe that either you're unsure of what we are offering, or that you're maybe a little cluck cluck chicken.
That's unfortunate because left up to me I'll probably choose some carebear server where people don't even LIKE PVP.
Here is a peek at some of the contest details.

The Official site has updated information on the Cenarion Circle Reputation Rewards and Class Quest Rewards
At last, the long watch has ended - the hero has risen, to mend that which was broken, to unite those who were divided. But the true test is yet to come. When the gates of Ahn'Qiraj open, will the mortal races stand united once again and face the onrushing terror or will they fade silently into the darkness that has risen once again in the distant lands of Silithus?
Here it is, although I wouldn't necessarily call it a guide page. We'll use the word guide as it's meant to be termed. It gives you hints on where you should go as a high level. What you should do. There are no walkthroughs here so don't get excited before you leave the gate.
In a Press Release today, it has been stated that WoW has a little bit of a discrimination problem. Who is being discriminated against? People of Asian descent primarily. The fear that they are "Chinese Gold Farmers" has given the English speaking servers a bad name.
There is a common belief among English speaking players in World of Warcraft that most non English speaking players are gold farmers. This is a type of player who is only playing the game to profit, not for the “love of the game.” Gold Farmers are largely despised by players who feel they take away a certain purity of the game.
To combat gold farmers, players are requesting anybody who wants to join a group to type one or two lines of English. If the sentences or grammar are not proper English these players are rejected from joining this group. This is what is creating the backlash among non-English speaking players with feel they are being discriminated against based on their language.
There is an article on Kotaku (thanks mmorpgdot) about this issue. I'm not going to say whether I agree with it or not, but I'd love for you to Tell Me! what you think about the whole ordeal.
Blizzard Entertainment has granted an exclusive screenshot of World of Warcraft: The Burning Crusade Expansion, displaying one of the chambers of the Tower of Kharazhan, known as the Tower of Medivh in Warcraft: The Last Guardian and chapter 8 of the Human Campaign in Warcraft: Orcs and Humans.
Choose any of the three image sizes.
The World of Warcraft: The Burning Crusade Video Tour 1 over at Gamespot shows the room of our exclusive screenshot -- shown at BlizzCon 2005.
It seems Sargeras/Medivh had a Michael Angelo-esque Artist create a Fresco-painting of Orchish angels on the ceiling.
