Snail Games pushed back the official launch for Age of Wushu back in January following player feedback during the second closed beta phase that prompted some additional polish and rework on certain features. The release date was given the vague “spring” window, but today Snail Games has set the new date for Age of Wushu, and it will be set to officially launch again on April 10th, 2013. A full retail box will be available for Age of Wushu in late April priced at $20 and will include more than $75 of in-game bonuses.

MASTER YOUR MARTIAL ARTS SKILLS WITH THE APRIL 10 U.S. LAUNCH OF HIGHLY-ANTICIPATED PC GAME AGE OF WUSHU

Snail Games Announces Retail Version to Follow Online Launch

LOS ANGELES - March 4, 2013 - Snail Games today announced that the highly anticipated martial arts massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG) Age of Wushu will launch online in North America on April 10, 2013. A retail box version will be available later in April.

Age of Wushu offers a unique, versatile sandbox experience in ancient China where players can relive more than 2,000 years of Wuxia tradition. Players will soon have the opportunity to channel their inner Wuxia and fulfill their hero's destiny as they journey to master the ancient art of Wushu.

"Age of Wushu brings an authentic presentation of Chinese martial arts to devoted players, and with its innovative combat, cultivation and offline play, the game creates a unique martial-arts experience," said Tyler Rawlins, Age of Wushu content generation lead at Snail Games. "The beta has been a great way to connect with the player community and introduce a real world of Wushu to the Western audience. We received and incorporated an abundance of player feedback during beta and can now announce an official launch date for Age of Wushu."

Age of Wushu's upcoming U.S. launch follows immense success in China -- where there are more than 10 million registered players -- and brings one of the most visually stunning MMOs to North America. A full retail box version of the game will be available in late April for $20 at select retailers and will include more than $75 of in-game bonuses.
