Ken Rolston has some impressive accomplishments to his name. He’s overseen the development of The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind and The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion as well as having pen & paper games to his credit. But his latest work with 38 Studios subsidiary Big Huge Games lends his talents to the crew’s upcoming RPG, Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning, which will serve as an introduction to 38 Studios’s upcoming MMORPG currently codenamed Copernicus.

Speaking with IGN, Rolston talked about the development of Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning and how the team is looking to push the boundaries of classes in the game and inspire players to try a few new things that might not be in their usual comfort zone.

What I want is for players to discover the deliciousness of trying something new. That's the whole point. It's discoverability.

Rolston feels it’s the job of the developer to make players want to try new things and he puts it in a not to subtle and maybe even kind of creepy sounding way.

Our job is to seduce you to discover ways to feel dirty. Sounds awesome, right?
