You can now Download PlayerScore 4.8.01!
First off, I've gotten a swell of bug reports involving Fury Warriors not showing Average Item Level. THIS HAS NOW BEEN FIXED!. (Curiously, did Fury Warriors become more popular more recently? I didn't hear about this bug until just a few weeks ago.)
Next up, the addon has been updated to work simultaneously on the live servers, and on wow 4.2. The addon will determine which version of wow you are running, and make changes in its code to work with that version. This means, that when WoW 4.2 is released you only need to enable "Out of date addons", and PlayerScore will work perfectly!
Check out the elaborate full change log below for more information:
The addon has been modified to allow for simultaneous functioning on both WoW 4.1 (Live) and WoW 4.2 (PTR).
This will prevent the addon from breaking when the next wow patch goes live.
Some bug fixes are aimed specifically at the PTR version of wow.
Read the top of the page for more info on this one.
Actually Updated TOC file this Time.
Oops! I forgot to update the TOC file when I released PlayerScore 4.8.00. The TOC file contains information about the addon, and needs to be updated each time a new version of an addon is released.
PvP GearScore's tooltip replaced the old out-dated PVE score's tooltip.
The "PvP GearScore" section of the Summary tab was still showing the old PVE Score's tooltip. This has now been corrected.
Fixed a bug where fury warrior's Equipped Average Item Level was always reporting 0.
I didn't start getting the bug reports for this until recently. It took me a while to track down the bug, but I'm happy to report that thanks to all the bug reports, suggestions, and more info from the community, I have fixed the bug.
(yay me!)
The Quick Rate Frame should no longer be displayed whenever your party wipes.
I didn't know this even was happening, but I guess each time you died you had to look at this ugly frame again. Anyways, its now been updated to not display when you spawn at a graveyard.
Fixed a bug where Crossbows were not receiving bonus GearScore when attached to a scope.
Crossbows would show on item tooltip an enchantment bonus, however when equipped they didn't add the bonus to the total GearScore. This has been corrected.
In addition, a Hunter who forgets to add a scope or enhancment to his Crossbow will now see a red flag in the summary tab.
Updated the Raiding Difficult to include Firelands raids.
On the summary tab, you'll now see Firelands listed in teh dungeon difficulty section if a player has enough gear for that raid.
Added More Tooltips for the Raiding Difficulty Chart.
Figured you guys were sick of "Some description about how hard this dungeon would be" tooltips. So I added a few more in!
Fixed a bug where PlayerScore would fail to function in WoW 4.2 (PTR).
The main bug was caused by "string.replace" or "strreplace" function being removed from the UI in wow 4.2. I've replaced all those functions and now the addon will actually boot in 4.2.
Feel free to use the addon on the PTR!
Fixed a bug where the equipment tab would display random letters in front of item names and levels on WoW 4.2 (PTR).
Wow 4.2 removes the "|cff" section from the hex value returned by a function designed to allow me to obtain the color code of an item based on rarity.
This resulted in "ffafa987f0ad7" (or the likes) appearing in front of the item names. This has been corrected for 4.2, but the original method will be retained when playing WoW 4.1
When Playing WoW 4.2 (PTR), the experience tab will show kills for Firelands raid bosses.
In addition, the Raid Progression section of the Summary tab will also reflect this change.
I've added "Firelands", and "Heroic Firelands" boss kill data to the Experience tab. This is only visible on WoW 4.2 (PTR) because this information doesn't exist in WoW 4.1
