Its been a busy week in Guild Wars 2 so I’ve brought together all the news pieces I can find from the last few days that might have passed people by.

First up, two traits have been disabled as a result of bugs brought in with the last patch. The Grenadier trait for Engineer in the explosives line has been disabled due to it one-shot killing players and the symbols trait for Guardian (Symbolic Avenger) was also disabled because it was resulting in eye watering damage due to a multiplier bug.

Next on the list is news of Mist Champions and them being the replacement for Heroes in Stronghold. I think the idea is great and although I’ve heard grumbles from some players that Stronghold isn’t fun (what?) this new addition should really help diversify the mode. The best news is we’ll also be able to queue only for Stronghold - amazing.

My favourite Guild Wars 2 build editor has finally received an update and as always, it’s slick and glorious to use. Go take a look.

Where developer posts are concerned, there’s a few. According to Bill Freist players will be able to critically hit bosses next patch. It also looks like we’ll get a second skill bar when entering WvW, similar to when you enter PvP, so you can have different builds between PvE, WvW and PvP zones.

If you missed the announcement, there’s also going to be a stress test for the new WvW Borderland map.

Finally and in case you missed either of these posts, Dragon Season published an awesome lore entry about Maguuma Jungle. I’ve been saving it for when I’ve a spare few minutes and it’s well worth the read. There’s also a brilliant entry by Aaron Heath over on GuildMag discussing the Revenant and its origins. I side with Aaron in that I absolutely love Razah (I think it stems from my love of Voldo in Soul Calibur). Make sure you have a read.

Oh and before I forget, this Reddit thread is worth checking out. As a Ranger, it’s pointed out almost all the flaws with pets and there’s plenty of good discussion to have.
