Mark Jacobs’ latest update for Camelot Unchained fell over the weekend and it’s a big one. In the first part of his Camelot Unchained’s Kickstarter stretch goals update, Jacobs revealed plans to add a new race and class for each of the game’s three realms.

The big part of Jacobs’ stretch goals update is the reveal of the Depths, a new RvR dungeon in the spirit of Dark Age of Camelot’s Darkness Falls dungeon that will feature some important things for players to fight over. Within the dungeon will be access to valuable mines and forges that players can gain control over for their crafters to make items that can only be made within these areas. The Depths can be filled with traps from crafters or from the dungeon itself as well, so watch your step. Crafters can also set up cameras that can watch invading players as they try to overcome traps and defenses, perhaps even catching a comical fatality for all to see.

Once the Depths have been captured, players can bring in NPCs to help shore up defenses against the other realms, but as Jacobs has stated in the past, these NPCs will not be farmed for loot or XP, but Jacobs did tease a bit of a creative mechanic that will let players become NPCs themselves.

The stretch goal amounts will be announced at a later time so stay tuned.
