It’s no surprise that Blizzard has been considering bringing Diablo III to consoles. After all, they’ve had job postings and other details that have hinted rather strongly at the possibility, but they’ve never out right confirmed it. But in a recent tweet from Diablo III Community Manager Bashiok, it appears there has finally been some confirmation. When asked on Twitter if Diablo III would be coming to consoles, Bashiok replied:

Yup. Josh Mosqueira is lead designer for the Diablo console project.

Josh Mosqueira has worked on such projects as Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War, Company of Heroes and more.

Diablo III is expected to release sometime this year, but there is currently no solid release date.
