Sony Online Entertainment kicked up a hornet’s nest this week when they revealed details about their new deal with ProSiebenSat.1 Games, which would have seen a segregation of US and EU players for DC Universe Online, Star Wars: Clone Wars Adventures, PoxNora, Magic: The Gathering - Tactics, EverQuest II, Free Realms, PlanetSide 2 and EverQuest Next. Since many communities are made up of a variety of members, from both EU and US in some cases, this didn’t go over too well.

Since the eruption of community backlash, SOE has been working on a new plan to try and keep the communities together. While there are no solid details as of yet, SOE Director of Global Community Relations Linda “Brasse” Carlson did offer these hopeful words to fans heading into the weekend.

Friends,

As we approach the weekend, we wanted to share that we are working on a plan to keep our communities together with the ProSieben deal. Again, we thank you for your patience - we'll provide more information as soon as it is available.
