Given that the most recent Heroes of the Storm patch focused heavily on Warrior changes, it's no surprise to see several of them on this list. Players have had a full week to get used to the new landscape, and we're definitely seeing some trends emerge. Here are the Heroes that have had the most drastic increases and decreases in win rate after the most recent patch on October 6th, 2015.

Biggest winners

  1. E.T.C. (+9.7%) – Everyone’s favorite Rock God got a bit of love in this patch. More health, increased stun duration on Power Slide, and both mana costs and cooldown buffs on Face Melt have definitely helped. This actually pushed his win rate just over 50%, so it’s possible that E.T.C. might have gotten just the performance boost they were hoping for.

  1. Diablo (+9.7%) – The Lord of Terror hasn’t been terrorizing folks much at all for a while now, but this patch is helping him out a bit. A bit more health gained from Black Soulstone helps him be slightly tankier, while the increase in range and stun duration on Shadow Charge helps. Diablo isn’t picked mainly for his damage output, but a slight buff to Fire Stomp’s damage doesn’t hurt. Diablo is still sitting at just a 48.8% win rate, but that could go up with time.

  1. Stitches (+6.8%) – In the patch of Warrior buffs, Stitches was one of the most significant projects. He gained a new niche as an anti-Mage with his new talent Dampen Magic, as well as buffs to his basic abilities and to Gorge. An almost 7% increase to win rate is definitely significant, and yet he still sits at only 45.1% overall, fourth lowest in the game. This could go up as players get themselves re-acclimated to playing him, but it’s possible more work needs to be done to make Stitches truly viable.

Biggest losers

  1. Leoric (-5.2%) – The only significant change made to Leoric this patch was to reduce the damage on Skeletal Swing, but it certainly seems to have had an impact, causing this Hero to suffer the largest decrease in win rate. Don’t shed many tears for him, however, as he’s still sitting at a healthy 52% overall.

  1. Nazeebo (-3.1%) – Nerfs to both the base damage of Corpse Spiders, as well as the Leaping Spiders talent, took a toll on our resident Witch Doctor. Blizzard has been actively pushing Nazeebo players to explore different builds, and hitting the Spiders was the way they chose to do it. He’s certainly taken a hit, but with a current win rate of 54.2%, the good doctor is still just fine.

  1. Zeratul (-2.8%) – The Dark Templar lost 1 Basic Attack damage per level, but that’s not the main reason for the loss in win rate. Reducing the activation window on Wormhole from 3 seconds to 2 makes blinking in to the fight more risky, while reducing the cast range of Void Prison by 50% was a huge blow. This drops his overall win rate to 47.4%. This seems low, and it is. However, his relative power level in competitive play was significantly higher, and that seems to be what this change aimed to fix.
