Welcome to the jungle, the Tanaan Jungle to be exact. One of the most wild and untamed zones we have seen in Warlords of Dreanor, it is a pleasure to be back in this place. For those that do not remember, we got our first look at the Tanaan Jungle when we made our grand entrance through the Dark Portal at the start of the expansion. Of course we didn't get to see much of the zone before we had to make a hasty departure.

Into Tanaan Jungle

It seems fitting that we find ourselves entering Tanaan Jungle from the same dock we left it. However, this time you won't be facing off against droves of Iron Horde. Instead, you will find that most have fled the area, with only a few renegade Bleeding Hollow left behind:

Despite their small numbers, the Bleeding Hollow have managed to throw together a welcome cannon in your honor:

Tanaan Jungle Assault Base

After you dodge the cannon (and blow it up for good measure), you will begin the process to build your very own assault base in this zone. This will be the first major quest hub you encounter in this zone:

The Iron Front

While you have made it safely and established a base in the east, the rest of your party has reached the Iron Front in the west and will need your assistance to aid them in battle against a host of Fel Orcs. This is also the entrance to the Tanaan Jungle from Talador:

The Ruins of Kra'nak

The Arakkoa Outcasts can be found in the Jungle fighting against the Sethekk traitors who have taken up allegiance with the Burning Legion:

The Fel Blight

While most of Tanaan Jungle has a wild beauty, some of it has been tainted by the Burning Legion, this is especially evident at the Fel Blight. Here Fel Orcs are building weapons of war forged in the Fel Forge and powered by Gul'dan's fel might.

Throne of Kil'jaeden

At the top of the hill overlooking the Fel Blight lies the Throne of Kil'jaeden. Here demons of every variety lurk and players can even view some remnants of the battle from the Warlords of Dreanor cinematic. This area is filled with level 100 elite mobs and should be approached with caution.

Hellfire Citadel

Inside Tanaan Jungle players will find a brand new raid instance; Hellfire Citadel. This imposing structure is located near the center of the zone.

Vault of the Earth

In the southern portion of the zone lies the Vault of Earth. This place is dotted with friendly elementals and members of an order known as the Guardians of the Vault. Currently, the Vault is sealed with a giant wall of fire and is currently unusable.

Zorammarsh

Zorammarsh is, as the name implies, a marsh area in the southern portion of the zone. This area has a very different, darker feel than the rest of the zone.

Fang'rila

Also on the southern tip of the zone, players will find Fang'rila. This is the home of the Blackfang Tribe, the deadliest saberon to be found on Draenor.

The Dark Portal

Finally, to wrap up our first look we visited the now defunct Dark Portal. Crawling with members of the Shadow Council, it seems Gul'dan has a plan for the wreckage.
