Square Enix is considering the possibility of bringing an existing Final Fantasy MMORPG to the PS Vita, and surprisingly, it's not the newer Final Fantasy XIV. Porting titles is nothing new to Square Enix and the developer is now looking at the possibility of expanding the availability of Final Fantasy XI to the new Sony handheld device, PS Vita.

Kotaku reports that in a recent interview with Japanese magazine Famitsu, Square Enix's Hiromichi Tanaka stated that the Tokyo-based developer is considering the possibility of bringing FFXI to the hand-held device.
While no solid confirmation has been announced as of yet, FFXI has already successfully been ported from the PC version to the Xbox 360, and Playstation 2 gaming consoles, so bringing the MMORPG to the hand-held PS Vita is a real possibility.
