There have been a lot of questions about the Firefall beta since Red 5 headed off to gamescom and PAX Prime. Some players have had a few questions in regards to when beta invites are coming and if maybe the people that signed up at PAX and gamescom might have a greater or lesser chance at getting in. To put your minds at ease, that last part will not be the case. In a post earlier today, Firefall Community Manager Matt DeWald posted an update of the crew’s beta plans and stated that PAX and gamescom signups will have the same chances as anyone else.

Red 5 promised to begin public beta invites sometime after the team returned from PAX Prime and the team isn't wasting any time. The beta update also announced that the first round of invites are planned to go out this week, so keep checking that inbox. As noted in the post, the first wave of invites will be small and DeWald will update fans on the official forums when the first batch of emails has gone out.

Well, PAX Prime is over. The current plan is that by the end of this week, we will begin sending out invites to participate in the upcoming scheduled beta tests. I wanted to take some time to clarify a few things that I’ve seen come up on the forums, on twitter, and on other websites regarding the Firefall beta.

If you haven’t signed up for the beta yet, head on over and do the deed. Be sure to check out our hands on impressions of Firefall from PAX Prime for more details about the game.
