The Hall of Monuments (HoM) is a location within Guild Wars: Eye of the North that will give your Guild Wars 2 character special rewards for completing various tasks within the original Guild Wars campaigns and expansion. Collecting miniatures, obtaining titles, and adventuring across the land will grant you various statues and displays within the instanced trophy room. Up until now, no one knew what the rewards would be but ArenaNet recently released a rewards calculator detailing what your past achievements would grant you 250 years in the future.

The Hall of Monuments

The Hall of Monuments is located at the Eye of the North in the Far Shiverpeaks. It’s a gigantic building that plays a key role in your adventures through Guild Wars: Eye of the North and has a large instanced trophy room available to all players with the expansion. It’s here that you can place your various titles, miniatures, rare weapons, and more. You can even form a party and invite others inside your Hall of Monuments to show them your achievements.

Add statues, minis, and more to the HoM to start gaining rewards in GW.

These achievements translate into points which earn you rewards in Guild Wars 2. For instance, having your account linked to Guild Wars 2 is your very first point. If you place one miniature statue into the HoM then you’ll get another and so on. To place anything in the Hall of Monuments you’ll first need to place a tapestry in one of the five monuments then interact with it to place your achievements. Each achievement you place within the monument counts towards earning you points for rewards in GW2.

If you want to know more about how the Hall of Monuments works then take a look at our Hall of Monuments Guide. This guide even helps you get enough points to grab a lot of the great rewards out there.

Rewards in Guild Wars 2

As mentioned previously, every achievement that you place into a monument goes towards earning you points in Guild Wars 2. For each point you earn you will get one new reward, with a new title every five points. The rewards range from pet companions for your GW2 Ranger, items which include a full set of armor that you’ll be able to equip at lower levels (with options to hold on to it as your character grows), and mini-pets. You can use the calculator to see how many points you have currently and what’s left to do at each monument.

Use the calculator to plan your rewards, see what you've earned so far, and more. Remember you can keep earning rewards even after Guild Wars 2 launches.

If you’re looking for a quick way to get to 30 points for the awesome Black Widow Spider then head over to our Hall of Monuments Guide for more details.

Each monument has its own separate achievements that must be placed into it.

  • Monument of Devotion: This is the miniature monument. You can place your miniatures here (you can still sell them, but only one person may claim each miniature in their monument) to count towards points for rewards in GW2. You get one point for any miniature, a rare miniature, and a unique miniature and then five additional points for having up to 50 miniatures in your monument.
  • Monument of Fellowship: Whenever you buy and equip your heroes with their prestige hero armor you can place them into the Monument of Fellowship in addition to certain ranger pets (Black Widow, Black Moa, Phoenix, and just any ‘ol pet). Points are given for the first hero statue, for any pet statue, for any rare pet statue, and then more points for up to 30 companion statues unlocked. You can earn up to 8 points in this section.
  • Monument of Honor: Whenever you unlock a title in the game you can receive a statue at the Monument of Honor. You get three points here for linking your accounts and up to an additional fifteen points for having any statue (2), any PvP statue (1), and then the rest for having up to 40 statues.
  • Monument of Resilience: Whenever you obtain prestige armor you can head here and display it. Each armor set counts towards points here, so if you put one armor set you get one point, 3 is an additional point, having 5 is one additional point, and 7 get you the final point. Having any Kurzick or Luxon armor gets you one more, Vabbian gets you another, and finally having an Obsidian armor set you gets one last point for a total of 8 here.
  • Monument of Valor: Rare weapons get you points here meaning any Destroyer, Tormented, or Oppressor weapon. Having one of each gets you one point in each category while having 5, 11 (gives 2 instead of one point), and 15 weapons gives you a point each.

So as you can see, just by playing Guild Wars, adventuring through the world, and unlocking titles/collecting pets/etc. you can stock up on cool rewards. Take a look at the Calculator and see what you’ve unlocked today.
