ArenaNet is still putting Guild Wars 2 through its development paces, and with the first of several of the game’s planned beta weekends set to get underway this Friday, ArenaNet took some time to give Eurogamer a tour of the studio and discuss the upcoming MMORPG.  Along the way Eurogamer managed to learn more about the development team, their sacrifices during development of Guild Wars 2, and how vastly different the development scale is from the original Guild Wars.

"I'm very excited about this project and I speak for others: we're ready to go, we want to be done," Jeff Grubb says. " We're not there yet, we've got a lot that still needs to be done, but every morning we come in just really gung-ho about it - and I see it in my co-workers, and I see it in my own work, that we're very proud of what we've done, and we're still very excited. And after six years, that's saying a great deal."

Eurogamer’s tour will be released in four parts, the first of which is available now. The first part features speaks with several of the Guild Wars 2 developers to get their own personal input on the game and their work on its development. A teaser from the four-part tour also notes that ArenaNet has already made development plans for Guild Wars 2 spanning several years, so like all MMORPGs that want to enjoy success, expect to see a steady stream of content post-launch.

Give the first part a read to get some personal insight from the Guild Wars 2 devs and a look at the studio. There are plenty of pictures.
