We haven't covered much of Destiny 2 here at Ten Ton Hammer. Partly because we can't cover everything that's a live service, but also because - it has to be said - Destiny 2 was pretty shite at launch. While it has found its feet, and begun to make significant improvements, there was a sense that because of Activision, Bungie never really had the freedom to take their IP in their own direction. Fortunately, and after Bungie freed itself from Acitivions claws, things are clearly working out well.
First up, the next paid expansion - Shadowkeep - is right around the corner, and comes with a new trailer (see below). Not only that, but Division 2 is set to hit Stadia, Google's latest venture.

If that wasn't good enough, a lot is changing in the base game:
- It's getting renamed
- It's going free-to-play
- It's eliminating PS4 exclusive content
- It's getting cross-save
- It's moving from http://battle.net to Steam
While it's too early to say whether all these changes will help Destiny 2, it's hard to imagine that they won't. If nothing else, its arrival on Steam as a free-to-play title (excluding the new Expansion) should help it enormously. Full details from Bungie here.
