Final Fantasy XIV (FFXIV) has been fighting an uphill battle to improve the game since its September launch last year. Survey results posted from the community in late January even showed that over 85% of players would welcome changes to the game that would drastically alter the rules of the game world. So what's a developer to do in such a case? FFXIV's new Producer/Director Naoki Yoshida has been working to get a huge number of improvements and features added to the game.

Yoshida's first "Producer's Letter" posted on January 21st, set the bar pretty high for his goals, maybe a bit too high. In his second "Producer's Letter" posted less than two weeks from his first, Yoshida updated his previous letter to clarify his intentions relating to 1.15a content patch and updates for the FFXIV Loadstone website.

In the meantime, players can take comfort in the knowledge that the long-time controversial aspect of not being able to jump could possibly soon be resolved pending tests. But there are a lot of changes in the works and Yoshida promises to personally update the community as time goes on. In fact, Yoshida's next post will specifically focus on the FFXIV Battle System. You can read the revised list of changes on the FFXIV Loadstone website.
