The Foo Fighters are coming to BlizzCon 2011 to rock out the crowd following the two-day gaming event.

Blizzard keeping true to tradition has booked another top quality band to rock out the fans at this year’s BlizzCon 2011 event. In a press release earlier today, Blizzard announced that the Foo Fighters will play out the crowd at the end of the two-day gaming event.

Opening for the Foo Fighters is Blizzard’s in-house metal band, The Artist Formerly Known as Level 80 Elite Tauren Chieftain. Following their performance, the Foo Fighters will take the stage to play out BlizzCon 2011.

“We’re pretty sure that in the future, music historians will look back at BlizzCon 2011 as the unquestionable pinnacle of Foo Fighters’ long and illustrious career,” said Dave Grohl, Foo Fighters founder and frontman. “We look forward to living up to that prediction by bringing the Horde and Alliance together to rock the hell out of Anaheim next month.”
