Good news for players both new and old tomorrow. System Shock 2, considered to be one of the scariest games ever made by some, is coming to Good Old Games (GoG) starting tomorrow and it’s been updated for all recent Windows platforms. And across the Internet collective gamers cackled with glee. While this doesn’t fall under our usual news coverage, it’s a game well worth a mention if you are a fan of the System Shock series and one worth giving a try you’re unfamiliar with them.

Rock, Paper, Shotgun has posted a new interview with Stephen Nick of Night Dive Studios, who managed to secure distribution rights for System Shock 2 and Guillaume Rambourg of GoG for more details. If you're curious to know why the series has yet to release another game there's a little info in there for you along with the challenges of securing the rights to once again distribute the classic horror title.

System Shock 2 will be available for $9.99 on GoG.com starting tomorrow at roughly 6:00am ET just in time for SHODAN to scare the pants off of you for the weekend. Don't worry Steam fans, it looks like System Shock 2 will be available for you as well down the road.

Update: System Shock 2 is now available here.
