Fallen Earth Alpha testing begins, beta set for early 2009.

Fallen Earth continues to march toward launch by announcing alpha testing that will start today. The highly anticipated post-apocalyptic MMO mixes first person shooter and role playing game styles as it places players in a struggle to overcome adversity. For those hearty souls that want to help Icarus Studios with truly testing a product, here is some of what is in store:

Fallen Earth Project Manager Colin Dwan said, "During the Alpha test phase, testers will be focused into specific towns so we can have miniature stress tests each week. They will be able to experience all of our game systems including missions, combat, crafting, scavenging, economy, and vehicles.

Also, if you want more of a hands-on look, check out Icarus' booth in LA or Austin next month:

Fallen Earth, being developed using the Icarus Studios Tools Suite platform, will be showcased in the Icarus Studios booth 307 at the Virtual Worlds Expo in Los Angeles, CA, September 3-4, 2008 and in booth 316 at the Austin Game Developer Conference Expo, September 16-17, 2008.

To become part of the alpha testing you can sign up for free at GameSpot or if you have a GameSpot subscription you can apply in the GameSpot Subscribers' area.
