Bill Roper takes RPG Vault under the hood to look at Flagship's technology, and behind the scenes to learn about the team

RPG Vault has posted another in their series of previews of Hellgate: London. In this installment, Bill Roper gives a detailed look at the technology of the game and the team behind the scenes. Two new screenshots are also included.

We had to create our engine for Hellgate: London because of the massive amounts of randomization used to generate the world. The engine needed to handle both indoor and outdoor environments and look great in both modes while never knowing where light sources would come from, what would be affected by what, and so forth. It was a huge challenge, and the biggest compliment we get is when people tell us the game doesn't look random.
