BioWare has proven themselves to be great storytellers in their epic Mass Effect series. Their hints at the possible death of Commander Shepard at the beginning of Mass Effect 2 started a firestorm with gamers, but as we approach the third part of this epic trilogy, BioWare plans to use downloadable content (DLC) to bridge the story of Mass Effect 2 and Mass Effect 3.

"So, for the time being there's going to be a continued stream of DLC for people. We'll start to have packs that'll tell the story between Mass Effect 2 and 3."

How much content this will entail is hard to say, but Lead Producer Casey Hudson told videogamer.com that there are several packs in the works for Mass Effect 2, so expect to see quite a bit more DLC for the game.
