It's not uncommon for many MMORPGs to celebrate real world events like Halloween by modifying an in-game event to fit its lore. And Age of Conan: Hyborian Adventures has done that with the "Night of Lost Souls." The event will begin again this year on October 22nd and run through November 2nd, 2010.

Once every year Hyboria is cast in a shadow and a tear forms between the boundaries of the living world and the realm of death, allowing all sorts of evil creatures to enter the world. And they just so happen to be carrying loot! The seasonal event brings new quests and opportunities to gain new in-game items and a new social pet.

With two solo quests, and an additional team quest, players will have to track down and defeat three Lost Souls. The quests will take you to places you thought you knew, but this time of year casts a shadow over things you once found familiar. As with last year’s events there are some fantastically fun seasonal items to acquire.
