Things have been relatively quiet on The Secret World front over the last few months save some random activity on the Twittersphere. But it's time to break out those tinfoil hats and talk conspiracy. Funcom has reached a new agreement with EA to co-publish The Secret World.

“We are thrilled to have the opportunity to work with Funcom, one of the world-leaders in the development of massively multiplayer online games,” says David DeMartini, Senior Vice President and General Manager of EA Partners. “We are very excited to be able to take part in the growing online gaming category with such a highly anticipated title as ‘The Secret World’.”

EA has been trying to expand its reach into the MMO market with games like Warhammer Online, Dark Age of Camelot and the upcoming Star Wars: The Old Republic. EA's last publishing venture into the MMO market with Realtime Worlds' flagship title APB was rather short-lived, but the new partnership with Funcom will add The Secret World to their publishing list.
