After a quiet week on the APB: Reloaded blog, COO Bjorn Book-Larsson returns this week with news about updates 79 and 80 plus the addition of new US East servers, which will be located in Washington DC and are expected to go live later this week. Book-Larsson included the patch notes from Update 79, which deployed last Thursday and also included a wipe to in-game music creations to fix a long-time bug, but the good news is it shouldn't have to happen again.

Update 80 is scheduled to go live Tuesday night and if all goes well, players can probably expect to see the US East servers up by Thursday. All of this comes ahead of the expected open beta release date scheduled for May 18th.

This week we are going to release Patch 80 on Tuesday night US time, and we are also going to perform the "formal" move to the "real" US-East location, in Washington DC later in the week (probably on Thursday this week) - which should really improve latencies for everyone east of the (imaginary) Dallas / Oklahoma City / Wichita / Omaha / Sioux Falls / Fargo line across the US.
