The Showdown Effect Gets a New Website and Trailer
Whats an action game without a few cliché one-liners? Paradox delivers that and more with a new website and trailer for The Showdown Effect.
The Showdown Effect brings all the cheesy one-liners and crazy action from the 1980s & 90s action movies and packs them into a 2D multiplayer action game full of clichés, explosions, and the occasional comedic laugh. To help show off what the game is all about, Paradox Entertainment has launched a new website for The Showdown Effect, complete with campy one-liner audio.
In addition to the website, a new gameplay trailer has also been released featuring a look at some of the stereotypical action characters and gameplay. Give it a look below.
The Showdown Effect launches on May 5th, 2013. You can sign up for the closed beta on The Showdown Effect website.

Bullet Brawler from Paradox Releases New Video as Beta Looms
NEW YORK January 17, 2013 Paradox Interactive, a no-nonsense publisher pushed to the edge with nothing left to lose, has launched a new website for The Showdown Effect, the multiplayer movie-massacre mayhem title scheduled for release on March 5, 2013. Visitors will get a taste of what waits for them in The Showdown Effect, and marvel at just how many bullets, explosions, and one-liners can be contained on a single site. There is also a chance to generate ones own action movie tagline with a movie trailer voice, including such hits as Destroy Action-Packed Pigeons! at the following link: http://taglines.theshowdowneffect.com/13000b0b
In addition to the website, Paradox has also released a new video for The Showdown Effect, highlighting the titles in-game animation and art. Viewers interested in how the game renders a man being blasted through a fourth-story window by a rocket explosion may view the informative piece here:
The Showdown Effect will be starting Closed Beta testing soon, and players can still sign up. Failure to do so could prove fatal (but probably wont). Sign up for the beta at beta.theshowdowneffect.com.
