There's more bad news for the workers at EA this month. Last week the publisher cut several jobs at its mobile studio in Montreal and closed EA Digital studio in Brazil. The publisher also trimmed around 20 jobs from its Galway, Ireland support center according to a report from The Journal. The center opened back in 2011 to help lend support to BioWare’s launch for Star Wars: The Old Republic. Despite some early speculation, the BioWare Montreal team was unaffected.

EA has undergone a number of changes in recent months with CEO John Riccitello stepping down from his position after failing to improve the company’s financial outlook. Today the publisher also announced the closure of several of its Facebook games SimCity Social, Pet Society, and The Sims Social.
