Ever wonder how BioWare approaches fixing exploits, patching bugs and developing new content for Star Wars: The Old Republic (SWTOR)? Executive Producer Rich Vogel has posted a new Community Blog explaining the rather lengthy process that BioWare explores and squashes bugs and deals with in-game exploits.

The good news is that we have a large team dedicated to the game, which gives us the flexibility to both fix bugs and develop new content. I want to make it very clear here that the live game service comes first though, and fixing bugs is our team’s first priority. Everything else is secondary.

Vogel also briefly touches on the team’s commitment to developing new content for SWTOR, but a vast majority of the blog is spent explaining about dealing with bugs and exploits. If you’re curious to know why it sometimes takes a while for an issue to get addressed and the process behind it, it’s worth a read.
