We still don’t have a solid idea of what exactly Blizzard has planned for their next MMOG currently codenamed Titan, but according to a new job posting, it appears that the developer may be planning to implement a form of in-game product placement advertising.

The job in question is for a Franchise Development Producer, which one of the duties described involves working with “major consumer brands to facilitate product placement and licensing within the world of Blizzard Entertainment's next-gen MMO that enhances the gameplay experience.” This could also possibly just involve glancing advertisements like you see with many games when logging in. But if the intention is in-game placement such as billboards seen in games like PlanetSide 2 and Anarchy Online or other forms of in-game placement, it’s probably safe to assume that Titan isn’t a fantasy-based MMOG but possibly set in a modern day or futuristic setting. Still, nothing has been confirmed as of yet.

The rest of the job description entails duties that involve building and managing internal and external partnerships, working with strategic market analysis and trends, working with the legal team for the franchise and working to expand Blizzard's next-gen MMOG outside of the gaming industry, which could include things such as comics, novels, short movies, apparel and action figures.

Little is still known about the secretive Titan project, so stay tuned and we’ll update you with more as it becomes available.
