It's time to wake the realm.
Despite a rough launch and a rocky re-launch, Square Enix has been rather committed to getting Final Fantasy XIV (FFXIV) up to par. Since its original launch in September 2010 and the subsequent replacement of the leadership team in the following months that saw Naoki Yoshida take the helm as producer and director, the MMORPG has undergone regular update improvements leading up to its eventual relaunch as FFXIV: A Realm Reborn with the 2.0 update. On December 17th, 2013, FFXIV will receive its first major content update since its relaunch with 2.1: A Realm Awoken. And that patch is packed with new content, features, and other improvements.
Earlier today, Square Enix served up a new video that clocks in at just over 10 minutes to preview all of the content packed into the upcoming 2.1 update, including a fairly detailed look at the housing feature. Housing isnt all thats packed into the video. Youll also get a look at the Duty Roulette feature, the Crystal Tower, Wolves Den, and much more. Check it all out in todays video.
