Ten Ton Hammer Video of the Day

Fan made, player approved.

You might not think that a player-created mod to a high profile game like StarCraft II would be something to make it to Kickstarter and be allowed to continue. But that is what happened with the player-createdn online multiplayer RPG StarCraft Universe mod. And Blizzard seems to be ok with that as they have apparently given the Kickstarter project their blessing.

Nearly a month ago, Ryan Winzen, who began working on the project around two years ago prior to founding Upheaval Arts, put the project up on Kickstarter with a goal of raising $80k to hire a team and complete the project with custom assets and voice actors. With just over a day left on its Kickstarter, the project has slightly exceeded that goal.

In an effort to help drum up support for the project last week, Upheaval Arts put together an alpha gameplay video of the first multiplayer raid. Making for a good tease of the expansion of the previously released smaller single player tutorial campaign currently playable on Battle.net. And that lands it on our video list for today, complete with EverQuest style corpse dragging.
