Ten Ton Hammer Video of the Day

Claim the Ruby Throne and rule over Cyrodiil.

If you’re still playing The Elder Scrolls Online V: Skyrim on PC (who isn’t?), you’re not lacking for new content given the creativity of the modding community. There’s so much modded content for the RPG that you have a virtual limitless well of new things to indulge in. But if you’ve found yourself Jonesing for a new Elder Scrolls experience, The Elder Scrolls Online (ESO) is just a few months away.

As we previously posted, ESO will officially launch on PC and Mac on April 4th, 2014. But in addition to that announcement, Zenimax Online Studios also revealed a new gameplay video preview of ESO’s massive PvP system and the war in Cyrodiil. The system allows hundreds of players to fight together against other large groups of players in a quest to claim the Ruby Throne, allowing one to rule as emperor.

Veteran MMORPG players will notice some similarities to other PvP systems in today’s video, which embodies seem to embody elements from siege combat of games like Age of Conan, Warhammer Online, and Dark Age of Camelot. None of that, mind you, is a bad thing. And if you’re a fan of massive PvP battles, try not to drool and enjoy today’s video.

ESO launches for PC and Mac
on April 4th, 2014 followed by PlayStation 4 and Xbox One launches in June. If you just can't wait for launch, you can head over to the ESO website to register for the beta.
