Panels, contests, and hot bands will
all be taking place at BlizzCon 2013. However, there is one
particular part of the two-day convention that fans look forward to
perhaps more than all of those combined; the opening ceremonies.Full
of energy and often attended by big names in Blizzard, the opening
ceremony is typically the place where all the big news breaks. New
expansions, bit changes, and more all are revealed during the opening
ceremony and BlizzCon 2013 is no exception. You will be blown away by the
announcements at today's opening ceremony.

Read onward to see the big reveals at
this year's BlizzCon opening ceremony!

Heroes of the Storm

Cinematic

Heroes of the Storm cinematic and alpha
version play revealed by Dustin Browder. Both videos were epicly
awesome and leave us wanting more. With kick ass heroes, elaborate
battlegrounds, and intense game play, Heroes of the Storm looks to be
shaping up to be everything we had hoped it would be.

Hearthstone

Open Beta

Annoyed that you haven't gotten your
invite to the Hearthstone beta yet? Dying to play with all your
friends? Your frustration will soon be over as Rob Pardo reveals
that Hearthstone will be ready to go into open beta sometime next
month.

BlizzCon Hearthstone Card

Also revealed for Hearthstone is the
special card given to fans who either attended BlizzCon or bought a
Virtual Ticket. The card is the Elite Tauren Chieftain and is
wickedly cool. The Elite Tauren Chieftain is a Golden Card with the
following: Battlecry: Give both players the power to ROCK! (with a
Power Cord card). Trust me when I say that this card really does rock
and it is a fitting card to be given out at BlizzCon.

IPhone/Android

As if there weren't enough exciting
Hearthstone announcements during the opening ceremonies, Blizzard
gives us one more. Revealed here is that players will be able to
experience Hearthstone on both IPhone and Android. We can expect to
be seeing this to be completed in the early half of next year.

World of Warcraft

Warlords of Draenor

Chris Metzan takes the stage to give us
maybe the biggest announcement of BlizzCon 2013, the next installment
of World of Warcraft. Warlords of Draenor will take both Horde and
Alliance back to the past. The baddest villains Azeroth has ever seen
will come together to bring blood and death. How will the Horde and
Alliance will respond? Can we get through these dark days to forge a
brighter future? We will have to wait and see.

Also coming with the new expansion is
the following goodness:

  • Brand New World: Draenor
  • Build and Upgrade a Garrison
  • New Character Models
  • Level Cap Raised: 100
  • New Monsters
  • New World PvP Zone
  • New Dungeons and Raids
  • New Items and Rewards
  • Hundreds of New Quests
  • Boost to 90 and Play Instantly

The new World of Warcraft expansion is
set to take us back to our roots and get us back in touch with what
it means to be Alliance and Horde. The old days of World of Warcraft
are set to come again and I for one can't wait.
