Blizzard is making some precautionary changes to Battle.net accounts with parental Controls enabled. The developer recently posted a message to its official forums advising players that emails will soon be going out to accounts with parental Controls enabled explaining that the in-game option to buy microtransaction items in World of Warcraft, Hearthstone, and Diablo III will be disabled by default. So making purchases in any of Blizzard’s games will require accounts with Parental Controls to log in to the accounts and change the setting manually.

Blizzard also warned of potential phishing email schemes and advised players to log directly into their Battle.net accounts by manually visiting the sites if they want to make a change. In the meantime, you can visit the Battle.net website to read a sampling of the email that will be sent out this week.
