Age of Conan Update Makes Free-to-Play Improvements

Posted Thu, Dec 13, 2012 by Martuk

The holidays have been good to Age of Conan players. Funcom today released a new update that makes some hefty improvements to the free-to-play model by unlocking all of the game’s classes and classic dungeons for free players. In addition to those two juicy little changes, the gold cap has been increased from 2g to 10g for free players and Funcom has posted a holiday update offer for AoC players to entice them to upgrade.

This update also puts into place the content for AoC’s upcoming seasonal event – A Bloody Solstice. The event includes two solo and two group quests that will take players to the feasting grounds of the Aesir and through areas of Cimmeria. Additional details for the event and the new items available can be found here.

A Bloody Solstice is scheduled to run from Friday, December 14th through Monday, January 7th, 2013. Patch notes for today’s update are available on the AoC forums.
