The auction for game assets belonging to the now defunct 38 Studios scheduled to go up for auction on November 12th has been pushed back to December. Earlier this week Richard J. Land, the court-appointed lawyer responsible for selling off the remaining game assets and IPs of the studio, told the Providence Journal that "interest has been greater than expected from potential bidders” and planned to ask for a temporary delay on the auction. It looks as though he got his wish as the auction is now scheduled to take place on December 11th, 2013.

It’s unknown at this time what publisher or publishers may be interested in the IPs. EA published Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning prior to the collapse of 38 Studios, so it’s possible they could be interested in adding the saga to their portfolio. That, however, is complete speculation. Stay tuned and we’ll update you when some solid information once it becomes available.
