Dark Age of Camelot (DAoC) is one of the pioneering MMORPGs along with games like EverQuest and Ultima Online. This October will mark the 10th anniversary of the game’s official launch and the team has a few surprises in store for players. We got the chance to speak with DAoC Producer Stuart Zissu earlier this year about the long-running MMORPG. But Mythic has some exciting plans for DAoC to celebrate the 10th anniversary milestone and Zissu teased a few details about the planned content in this week's "Dark Age of Camelot (DAoC) is one of the pioneering MMORPGs along with games like EverQuest and Ultima Online. We got the chance to speak with DAoC Producer Stuart Zissu earlier this year about the long-running MMORPG. But Mythic has some exciting plans for DAoC to celebrate the 10th anniversary milestone and Zissu teased a few details about the planned content in this week's "Producer's Letter".

The DAoC team added several new members to the team a few months back and they’ve been hard at work on some of the secretive anniversary content. While not all of the content plans have been revealed, this month’s “Producer’s Letter” detailed some of the big ticket items that will be part of the new content. Part of that content includes a New User Journey, which is aimed at better training new players in the ways of the world. The New User Journey will add hubs to the game that will focus on teaching new players some of the game basics like that include: Assisting, Pets, Crowd Control, Peeling, Stealth, Guard and Protect, Templating, and much more.

Additionally, a new DAoC website and Wiki is in the works to help improve the flow of information and communication with players. The fourth and final reveal in the letter announced that players will also soon be allowed to transfer from Glamorgan cluster to Ywain. A new transfer FAQ is in the works and should be available soon.

There’s still a while before the 10th anniversary celebration this October, so head over and check out the game for yourself with its 14-Day Free Trial if you haven’t played it already.
