DC Universe Online utilizes weapon powers in its own unique way. You choose your weapon at character creation, but once you reach level ten, you can pick skills from any of the weapon options available to use those combos or to benefit from the passive stats of those weapons. This allows players to diversify and customize their characters in a plethora of different ways.
If you're creating a character, this is the perfect resource to help you decide which weapon skill will compliment your powerset of choice. If you've already created your character and you're looking to maximize your stats, you can save yourself the time of having to dig through all of the weapon skill traits to find the stat bonuses. We have them all listed here making it easy to pick alternate weapon skills that may benefit you the most. Keep reading to browse all of the weapon options or use the following navigation to jump right to the weapon skill that you are interested in.
*passive stats are listed in the order in which they become available on the weapon traits tree.
As a long-ranged and somewhat slow weapon, the bow hasn't been a popular choice for players. It looks very cool and can be super fun to play with but complaints of low damage potential has this weapon passed over quite a bit. If you love the bow though, there are plenty of players who make it work just fine and swear by its usefulness, particularly in PvP.
For players who pick up DCUO for its fast-paced action game style, you may find the dual pistols to be the perfect weapon. As a long-ranged weapon, the pistols rely on quick bursts of small damage. Some find them to be a bit "spammy", but others love the fast and consistent damage that they provide. Match this weapon up with a powerset that relies on ranged damage.
Hand Blaster is a powerful and reliable weapon that sustains moderate damage while allowing the player to keep at a distance. It's a great choice for ranged powersets, such as healers, that prefer to stay a short distance from the danger zone but still want to do noticeable damage.
The Rifle is another great ranged weapon that deal moderate damage with combo mouse clicking that won't give you a severe case of carpal tunnel. This weapon will work great with any of the ranged powersets but I particularly like it with the Gadgets powerset.
