SOE Live is set to open tonight with John Smedleys Keynote speech. Just ahead of the big event news starting tomorrow with the unveiling of EverQuest Next, SOE today announced Sons of Trigon, the 8th DLC coming to DC Universe Online (DCUO) this fall.
In Sons of Trigon, players will have a chance to aid Wonder Woman, or fight with her rival, Circa, in new high-level multiplayer and solo adventures as they race to face Trigon. The DLC will introduce the 11th power for DCUO Celestial, which will grant players the Blessed or Cursed healing abilities. Donna Troy and Cheetah also join the list of characters available for Legends PvP.
As with all DLC, Sons of Trigon will be available for free to Legendary subscribers and through the in-game marketplace for free players.

Battle Trigon and His Offspring to Achieve Peace or Power in Game's Eighth DLC Pack
SAN DIEGO - Aug. 1, 2013 - Sony Online Entertainment, LLC (SOE) today announced the next chapter in the DC Universe Online (DCUO) story -- Sons of Trigon. DCUO's eighth downloadable content (DLC) pack will enable players to battle alongside Wonder Woman or her adversary, Circe, in new high-level multiplayer and solo adventures, as they race to confront Trigon on a quest for power or peace. DCUO's 11th Power, Celestial, will be introduced with the new DLC, granting Blessed or Cursed abilities focused on healing, as well as New Legends PvP characters Donna Troy and Cheetah. The new DLC will be available for download on the PC and PlayStation®3 computer entertainment system later this fall.
"In Sons of Trigon we finally get the answers to some critical questions that have been left unresolved since DCUO launched more than two years ago," said Jens Andersen, Sr. Creative Director, DC Universe Online. "Players get to explore a nightmare version of Gotham like nothing they have seen before, while battling alongside Wonder Woman or Circe to eventually defeat Trigon and restore peace, or steal Trigon's power for their own use."
Sons of Trigon DLC picks up where the Sins of the Father storyline left off. Through blood ritual, Trigon escaped his dimension and was preparing to attack the Earth. However, he became trapped in a nightmare version of Gotham City, a wasteland filled with sin. In this new DLC, Heroes and Villains will explore these wastelands as they race to confront Trigon and his sinful sons. As the story unfolds, players will have access to an assortment of new multiplayer adventures, solo missions, power and gear.
Sons of Trigon will feature:
- New Celestial Power, focused on Healing abilities
- New shared area - Gotham City reduced to a wasteland - featuring daily solo missions
- New alert - featuring a final battle with Trigon
- Three new duos battling Trigon's sons who represent six of the seven deadly sins
- New Legends PvP characters Cheetah and Donna Troy
- New Gear, including PvE iconic gear based on Brother Blood and Raven
- New Feats and Collections
DCUO's Sons of Trigon DLC pack will be a free download for the game's Legendary members and will be available later this fall for purchase by Free and Premium players via the PlayStation®Network, the in-game Marketplace, or for PC players via the DCUniverseOnline.com website.
